Joel Thayer
President & OwnerJoel Thayer was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. He began his mechanical career in early 2000 as a sheet metal installer while working towards his Associate’s degree in Environmental Science (HVAC). From there he worked in residential, light commercial, and industrial for 15 years before becoming the service foreman of special projects and field operations for 6 years. It had always been his dream to own his own business, and in 2019 he started Thayer Mechanical, slowly building his business from one man and a van to one of the most trusted names in Colorado Springs Mechanical.
Grant Willemarck
Vice President & OwnerGrant served in the Air Force for 6 years as an Avionics Technician for F15s. After his service Grant attended the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs where he obtained a business degree in organizational management. He began work in Mechanical contracting in sales from 2000-2009 before being promoted to Vice President over Services and Special Projects from 2009-2019 and then General Manager from 2019-2020. In June of 2022, Grant joined Thayer Mechanical as Vice President and Co-owner.
